A tool to downgrade iOS 7.1 to iOS 6.1.3 / 6.1.4 / 6.1.6 / 7.0.6 - without SHSH and AP tickets - A5+
Some users updated their iDevices to iOS 7.1 without knowing that it will destroy their jailbreak. But don't worry now you can downgrade to previous version of iOS without even need of SHSH Blobs and AP Tickets. IPSW tool generates ECID-SHSH blobs using UDID and ECID info fetched from the device and generates a patched .ipsw which fakes the firmware verification process and restores your device to previous baseband. iPSW tool supports Apple A4, A5, A6 and A7 devices, however you cannot downgrade to and version of iOS 6 on A7 devices but still you can switch to any iOS 7 version on these devices. Here is how: Connect your A4, A5, A6 or A7 device and start iPSW tool. Make sure you are connected to internet.
Note: Please make backup of your device before proceeding to restore process.
Open IPSW tool.
Select your device iOS version.
Select version to which you wanttodowngrade.
Note: You cannot downgrade A7 devices to any version of iOS 6.
Select an Appropriate IPSW Firmware for your iDevice.
Make sure IPSW file version should be same as "Downgrade To" Version.
Click "Patch" and wait for it to patch your .ipsw file.
Now simply put your device in DFU mode and start itunes, restore the patched .ipsw by clicking on restore (holding shift key) and it will start installing iOS firmware without any errors.
Note: If your restore stuck with itunes error_xxxx then check your host file, make sure it does not contain any bad host entry which usually blocks the restore.
After restoring firmware, your device will take a while to boot for repairing disk permissions and installing kernel cache.
